About the position
The Color Matcher position at Aerotek involves working within a production team to ensure accurate color matching and mixing of paints and stains. The role is essential for maintaining quality and consistency in color reproduction, requiring attention to detail and experience in a production environment. Responsibilities
- Match colors requested by customers in a timely manner.
- Match colors for easy reproduction.
- Keep accurate records of formulas for consistent reproduction.
- Mix paint, primer, stain, and glaze for production.
- Create sample chips and box up chip sets.
- Update stain and glaze step panels for accurate production.
- Package ordered finish materials according to shipping requirements and developed SOPs.
- Track inventory of paint and pigment supplies.
- Use and maintain matching equipment to ensure consistent quality (dispenser, mixers, spectrophotometer, gloss checker, etc.).
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in the assembly area, involving tasks such as lining up wood on a conveyor system, measuring boards, and sorting based on measurements and quality.
Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Production experience.
- Ability to multitask.
Nice-to-haves
- Diploma.
- Assembly, sanding, glazing, cabinet production, finishing, inventory management.
- No certifications required.
