The Town Pump Hotel Group is seeking a motivated and outgoing Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Columbus Super 8 Hotel. The Hotel Front Desk Agent will be responsible for ensuring that every guest has a pleasant experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will greet guests warmly and perform essential duties related to guest transactions, including check-in, check-out, billing, and reservations. You will also manage phone transfers and respond to other service-related requests, all while adhering to Town Pump and brand operational standards. A solid understanding of hotel operations and guest service is crucial, along with experience in data entry, cash handling, and credit card transactions. You will be expected to communicate professionally with guests and team members, demonstrating punctuality and flexibility in your work schedule. The Hotel Front Desk Agent must take pride in their work, maintain a high level of integrity, and be able to work independently despite frequent interruptions. You will ensure that each guest has the best possible experience by completing all required training and certifications promptly and fulfilling all tasks outlined in the Daily Front Office checklist. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining secure master key control, managing cash drawers, and posting incidental charges to guest rooms. Keeping the front desk area clean and organized is essential, as is maintaining confidentiality regarding guest and company information. Other responsibilities may include cleaning public areas, assisting with breakfast service, folding laundry, and occasionally cleaning guest rooms. This position is vital to the overall success of the hotel and requires a dedicated individual who is committed to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests pleasantly and perform check-in and check-out duties.
  • Handle billing, reservations, and other service-related requests.
  • Communicate courteously and professionally with guests and team members.
  • Maintain secure master key control and proper cash handling procedures.
  • Collect and post incidental charges to guest rooms.
  • Utilize the communications book to maintain shift communications.
  • Report issues with services, equipment, and property.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Complete all required training and certifications in a timely manner.
  • Assist with cleaning public areas and folding laundry as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of hotel and guest service operations.
  • Experience with computer data entry and multi-line phone systems.
  • Experience with cash handling and credit card transactions preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Punctuality and flexibility in work schedules.
  • Ability to work independently with frequent interruptions.
