About the position

The Combat Systems Integration Analyst position at People Technology and Processes LLC in Virginia Beach, VA, is a critical role that involves supporting the Combat Systems Integration Officer in various capacities. The analyst will conduct thorough research and analysis of requirements to validate proposed technical solutions during Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and field exercises. This role requires the development of project plans and experimentation plans, as well as the preparation of briefs to communicate findings and recommendations effectively. In addition to project planning, the analyst will be responsible for data entry and maintaining databases to ensure that all information is current and accurate. Coordination and planning of technical experimentation and field exercises are essential components of this position, requiring the analyst to apply deliberate methods to specialized Maritime capabilities. The analyst will provide both written and verbal assessments to meet operational objectives, ensuring that all analyses are comprehensive and actionable. The role also involves scheduling and coordinating meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and monitoring government and commercial technology development efforts. The analyst must maintain a strong understanding of available technologies to inform new project development efforts. Attendance at meetings, OPTs, and field exercises is required, with the expectation of providing written After-Action Reports (AAR) and trip reports that summarize findings and recommendations. Administrative, technical, and coordination support will be provided for assessments and the submission of exercise documents. The analyst will also offer subject matter expertise in various technology, requirements, and resourcing efforts/projects as needed. A final Top Security Clearance and Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with SCI eligibility is mandatory for this position, along with significant experience in Special Operations and Maritime Mobility systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Combat Systems Integration Officer by conducting research and analysis of requirements to validate proposed technical solutions during OPTs and field exercises.
  • Develop project plans, experimentation plans, and briefs.
  • Conduct data entry, maintain and update databases.
  • Conduct coordination, planning, and de-confliction of Technical Experimentation and field exercises.
  • Conduct analysis and provide written and/or verbal assessments to meet objectives.
  • Coordinate and plan meeting schedules and provide written reports of meeting minutes.
  • Monitor government and commercial technology development efforts and maintain an understanding of available technologies for new project development.
  • Attend meetings, OPTs, and field exercises and provide written After-Action Reports (AAR) and trip reports.
  • Provide administrative, technical, and coordination support with assessments and submission of exercise documents.
  • Provide administrative support and subject matter expertise for Technology, Requirements, and Resourcing efforts/projects.

Requirements

  • Possess a final Top Security Clearance and Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with SCI eligibility.
  • At least 10 of the past 25 years of Special Operations experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the past 15 years working directly with Special Operations Surface Maritime Mobility systems (i.e., Combatant Craft).
  • Experience supporting staffs in at least two of the following capacities: Exercise Development and Operations; OPLAN/CONPLAN/CONOP development, staffing, evaluations, and approval; providing support to the Special Operations Community.
  • Thorough understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) including mission analysis, course of action development, analysis, comparison, recommendation, and approval.
  • At least Phase I Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting stringent timelines.
  • Senior-level problem-solving skills and experience, including setup and process planning for complex problems.
