About the position

The Combat Systems Procurement and Budget Support Analyst position at Booz Allen is a critical role that involves navigating the complexities of financial management within the Department of the Navy (DoN). As a financial analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a financial management strategy that ensures effective allocation of funding to support naval operations. This role requires collaboration with project management teams, task leads, and government points of contact (POCs) to create actionable plans that secure necessary funding for various projects. You will gain valuable experience in understanding the laws, regulations, and policies that govern funding requirements, which will enable you to assist clients in formulating well-defined requirements for their financial needs. Once funding is secured, your role will involve monitoring and ensuring the efficient use of these funds through consistent tracking and communication with project management and clients. You will support the analysis, assessment, and development of Program Support Data (PSD) Sheets, which are essential for meeting quarterly and fiscal year requirements. This position demands a financial analyst who can quickly adapt to the client's specific requirements and navigate the strict regulations governing the DoN's yearly budgets, particularly in the areas of Supply, Support, and Logistics. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial management strategies to support naval operations.
  • Collaborate with project management, task leads, and government POCs to secure funding.
  • Assist clients in formulating well-defined financial requirements.
  • Monitor and track the efficient use of allocated funds.
  • Support the analysis and development of Program Support Data (PSD) Sheets.
  • Navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations governing DoN funding.
  • Conduct financial analysis and review of DoN quarterly and yearly budgets.

Requirements

  • Experience working with Naval Acquisitions and Sustainment.
  • Experience with Program Support Data (PSD) Automated Reporting and Tracking System (PARTS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Navy Procurement and Spares Process.
  • Understanding of Department of Navy Parts and Spares Accounting Processes.
  • Familiarity with Baseline Assessment Memorandum processes.
  • Ability to perform financial analysis and review of DoN budgets.
  • Capability to operate successfully in a high-tempo environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of experience with NAVSEA Program Execution Office Integrated Warfare Systems.
  • Knowledge of OPNAV 41 Processes.
  • Familiarity with the AEGIS Weapon System (AWS).
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
