About the position

The Sales Representative at Comcast is responsible for selling commercial Internet, Video, and Voice services to mid-size and large businesses. This role involves driving sales through prospecting activities, building relationships with clients, and delivering compelling sales presentations. The representative will work collaboratively within a team to exceed sales targets while ensuring a superior customer experience and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver face-to-face sales presentations demonstrating knowledge of Comcast products and services.
  • Exceed departmental financial and unit targets through effective sales strategies.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to position Comcast Business Services effectively.
  • Develop and cultivate a sales territory, including local partnerships and organizational affiliations.
  • Generate new leads through various prospecting activities such as cold calling, canvassing, and customer referrals.
  • Promote and position the Comcast brand within the designated territory.
  • Retain customer base by delivering on the Comcast Credo and ensuring a superior customer experience.
  • Maintain and build customer relationships to drive retention and operational efficiencies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales records and activity reports as required.
  • Attend out-of-office meetings with customers and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and experience, or extensive related professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in sales or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Network Design, MAN technologies, and various networking protocols.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in political canvassing or similar outreach activities.
  • Familiarity with business continuity and disaster recovery concepts.
