About the position

The position involves working within a team that builds customer and workforce authentication and authorization services for Comcast's various PaaS products. The role focuses on the operation of the platform, ensuring its observability, stability, optimization, and continuous integration and delivery (CICD). It also includes external integration with partner applications and identity providers, making it crucial for maintaining secure and efficient infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable Cloud infrastructure and systems for authentication and authorization platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling to improve efficiency in managing infrastructure.
• Implement and manage monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Assist incident response efforts and post-mortems for continuous improvement.
• Analyze system performance metrics and optimize applications and infrastructure.
• Design and implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Ensure infrastructure is version-controlled, repeatable, and easily deployable.
• Ensure security and compliance of infrastructure and applications.
• Implement best practices for secure deployments and monitoring.
• Analyze resource needs and develop plans for business growth while optimizing resources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for onboarding and integration of applications.
• Support systems and network troubleshooting related to applications and client teams.
• Mentor team members through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with engineering and leadership teams for clarity and alignment.
• Engage in Agile team ceremonies to balance stakeholder demands and technical debt.
• Participate in on-call support rotations for client applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of SRE or experience designing, deploying, and operating Cloud infrastructure.
• 2+ years of software development experience in Java and Terraform.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Strong experience with Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Concourse, or Gitlab CI.
• Deep understanding of networking, firewalls, Linux/Unix systems, and system architecture.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic Search.
• Experience with AuthN/AuthZ protocols like SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
• Knowledge of CyberSecurity best practices including endpoint security and access control.
