This position is pivotal in managing the daily and overall work processes related to cyber engineering and technical standards within the Cyber Security domain. You will monitor assigned areas of Cyber Operations to ensure adherence to both industry and company standards, ensuring that all work processes are efficient and consistently applied in daily operations. Your role will involve coordinating complex, multi-disciplined cyber security projects from design to implementation, in alignment with the company's policies. You will be responsible for developing financial and operational objectives, as well as monitoring, identifying, investigating, and analyzing all response activities related to cybersecurity incidents within the organization. This includes responding to incidents, conducting threat analysis, and addressing detected issues. You will also conduct network or software vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, utilizing reverse engineering techniques to perform vulnerability analysis and exploitation of applications, operating systems, or networks. Evaluating system security configurations and performing root cause analysis will be key components of your responsibilities. In addition, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of countermeasures, system integration, and tools specific to Cyber and Information Operations. Leading the daily operations of the Security Incident Response Team, you will clearly communicate incident status to critical stakeholders, including Cyber Security and Operations leaders, Legal, Communications, and others as required. Partnering with other key incident monitoring, detection, and response functions will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily and overall work processes in cyber engineering and technical standards within Cyber Security.
  • Monitor assigned areas of Cyber Operations for adherence to industry and company standards.
  • Coordinate complex cyber security projects from design to implementation.
  • Develop financial and operational objectives for cyber security initiatives.
  • Monitor, identify, investigate, and analyze response activities related to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Respond to cybersecurity incidents and conduct threat analysis as directed.
  • Conduct network or software vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Perform vulnerability analysis and exploitation of applications, operating systems, or networks.
  • Evaluate system security configurations and perform root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of countermeasures and tools for Cyber Operations.
  • Lead daily operations of the Security Incident Response Team and communicate incident status to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Cyber Security, with at least 5 years leading Incident Response for large-scale investigations.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading or managing a Security Operations team.
  • Strong technical understanding of the Incident Response process and ability to communicate with other business units.
  • Knowledge of common enterprise-grade endpoint and network defense tools.
  • Experience working with logging technologies and large datasets.
  • Knowledge of major cloud technologies and Digital Forensic Investigations best practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced threat detection technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks related to cybersecurity.
  • Certifications in Cyber Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
