The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way. As a Technical Project Manager Co-op, you will specifically work with the technology teams to assist with special projects. You will be part of an active software development team without having to learn to code. Instead, you will be a part of the Delivery team to learn and apply project management principles, Agile tenets, and various business principles to ensure the successful delivery of various features by the technology teams. You will try many different aspects of building technology tools that are not directly code or design, such as Project Management and Portfolio Management. Examples of what you can learn include Project Management principles, Portfolio Management principles, User testing and feature trial support, Business principles such as meeting facilitation and project documentation, Agile and Scrum tenets, and principles of collaborative knowledge sharing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the quarterly portfolio planning for CONNECT Plex organization
  • Support the weekly/monthly CONNECT Plex organization accomplishments readout
  • Support process improvements for CONNECT Plex portfolio reporting
  • Organizing and maintaining the Delivery team's collaborative knowledge sharing tool
  • Working with software development teams on a day-to-day basis
  • Assist project managers and scrum masters in overseeing schedules and milestone management
  • Obtaining project status from technology team members
  • Learning and using task management and project management software
  • Implement and improve the project management and delivery processes
  • Collecting and analyzing project data to provide recurring and adhoc reports with the purpose of measuring progress towards milestones and objectives.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23, 2024 through March 28, 2025.
  • 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America.
