(In most cases, Comcast prefers to have employees on-site collaborating unless the team has been designated as virtual due to the nature of their work. If a position is listed with both office locations and virtual offerings, Comcast may be willing to consider candidates who live greater than 100 miles from the office for the remote option.) This job code is to be used for internships and co-ops. It is not to be used for temporary or contract workers. Discover opportunities designed to set your career in motion! The Comcast internship/co-op program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network. This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. This role supports Change Management within the CONNECT Core & Edge Network Change Team, which is focused on innovating, building and operating the best in class, most reliable network for our customers. We deploy the gear that makes up that nationwide network, we fix it when things break, and we upgrade it whenever we find ways to make it faster, more capable, or more resilient. This all adds up to a never-ending series of upgrades planned and managed by our team with our partners. As a Technical Project Manager Intern on the CONNECT Core & Edge Network Change Team, you'd work side by side with our decision makers, project managers, and engineers as you become involved in every aspect of a change manager's job. You'd gain hands-on experience in what it takes to continually deliver improvements to every component that makes up our industry leading network. In your role, you'd listen to stakeholder needs, plan nationwide upgrades by determining the right time and place for each step, communicate those plans to stakeholders, determine the success rate of those changes as they progress, and gather any lessons learned to factor into future upgrades. You'd be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while we continually expand and improve our network infrastructure that's powering the next generation of internet connectivity. Got an idea on how we can do something better, faster, simpler? We want to hear it! Our processes evolve as fast as our network, and the ideas of our interns can and have made positive impacts along the way.
