About the position

Comcast is seeking a UX Visual Designer Intern to join our Digital Experience Design team (DXD) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This internship program is designed to immerse students in the daily operations of a leading media and technology company, providing them with the opportunity to work alongside top innovators in the field. As a UX Visual Designer Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design standards and creative processes that reach millions of customers. This position is not just about learning; it’s about making a tangible impact on how we design and implement user experiences across our platforms. The Digital Experience Design team is at the forefront of technological innovation, blending creativity with practical solutions to craft omnichannel digital services and applications. We are focused on creating intuitive and seamless digital experiences for our customers, particularly through Xfinity.com. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing existing tools and processes, assisting in the organization of design components in Figma, and exploring alternative UX patterns. You will also provide documentation on existing UX patterns and assist designers in the creative exploration of marketing templates. This internship offers a unique opportunity to shape the design operations within our team, enhance the user experience of our components, and contribute to the overall success of our digital initiatives. You will participate in design ideation sessions, conduct interviews to analyze team processes, and provide research support to leadership in developing new design components. This is a chance to not only develop your skills but also to contribute to meaningful projects that impact our customers and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and propose solutions for enhancing existing tools and processes
  • Assist in creation and organization of components in Figma
  • Explore alternate UX patterns for our existing components set
  • Provide documentation on existing UX patterns and behaviors
  • Assist designers in creative exploration of marketing templates
  • Provide research and assistance to leadership in the development and design of new components
  • Participate in design ideation sessions
  • Interview and analyze team members processes and tool preferences
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Figma
  • Experience with UX/UI design on digital web and mobile projects
  • Information architecture - ability to map out ideas and processes
  • An attitude that is proactive, analytical, and organized
  • Preferred Majors: UI/UX Design
