The Relationship Manager plays a crucial role in monitoring and enhancing Commercial Loan customer relationships while assisting Loan Officers with the administration of loan portfolios. This position is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing their financing needs effectively. The Relationship Manager is tasked with maintaining and servicing assigned portfolios, coordinating the cross-selling of other bank products, and ensuring that customer interactions are handled with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. Close customer contact is essential to anticipate additional financing needs and to monitor changes in credit quality. In this role, the Relationship Manager will negotiate to structure and price credit facilities in alignment with the bank's credit policies and lending practices. They will prepare comprehensive packages for credit approval circulation and present these packages to the appropriate level of credit authority. The position also involves preparing and issuing term sheets and commitment letters, attending loan closings to ensure proper execution, and following up on past due payments and overdrafts. Timely renewal of lines of credit is another critical responsibility, along with obtaining customer renewal term agreements and negotiating any discrepancies. The Relationship Manager must respond promptly to customer needs and ensure that requests involving other departments are addressed effectively, resolving any service issues that may arise. They will oversee the handling of customer transactions, including advances, payments, and wire transfers, ensuring that the bank has current financial information on file and that credit files are complete and accurate. Additionally, the Relationship Manager will provide necessary reports, review documentation prepared by legal counsel for accuracy, and ensure that credits are accurately risk-rated and monitored. Compliance with all requirements related to watch lists and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures is also a key aspect of this role.
