About the position

At Edward Jones, we are excited to welcome a Command Center Operations Analyst I to our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our enterprise, client/server, and network operations, ensuring that we deliver quality solutions to our clients and branch offices. As part of a modern, cloud-based architecture initiative, you will be involved in a variety of professional, technical, and analytical duties that are essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of our systems. This position is designed for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to the technological advancements that enhance client experiences. In this overnight position, you will work from Monday to Thursday, from 10 PM CST to 8 AM CST. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, detecting, identifying, and correcting technical problems across various digital platforms. You will support networking technologies such as LAN/WAN, DNS, and TCP/IP, as well as system administration for both Linux and Windows operating systems. Additionally, you will monitor and collect data on system performance, schedule vendor maintenance, and perform change functions to ensure maximum reliability and performance. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation for the Command Center, facilitating incident triage resolution in bridge/war rooms, and collaborating with other technical resources to create world-class experiences for our clients. Responsibilities

  • Analyze, detect, identify, and correct technical problems and deficiencies in the network environment.
  • Support networking technologies including LAN/WAN, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • Administer Linux and Windows operating systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Monitor and collect data on systems performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Schedule and coordinate vendor maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime.
  • Perform change functions to assure maximum performance and reliability of systems.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain documentation for the Command Center operations.
  • Facilitate bridge/war rooms for incident triage resolution, ensuring timely problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • 2+ years of analytical and technical experience in relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in one of the core technologies: Systems Administration, Networking, Application Framework (PaaS/SaaS), or Mainframe (zOS, Autosys).
  • Understanding of technology monitoring concepts and practices.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Splunk, and Grafana.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud architecture and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of data/database analysis and administration.
