About the position

The C2 Engineer position at DAS Services involves supporting the Army's Mid-Range Capability Project Office by providing systems engineering and integration for Command and Control (C2) systems. The role focuses on the development, testing, and modernization of the Battery Operation Center (BOC) as part of the Army's missile capabilities, ensuring effective integration of various weapon systems and managing technical requirements for defense operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Command and Control (C2) Engineer for the Program Executive Office - Missiles and Space Mid-Range Capability Project Office (MRCPO).
  • Assist in managing technical requirements and risk for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Army's Long Range Precision Fires priority.
  • Support the development, prototyping, modernization, testing, evaluation, and transition of the BOC C2 software and hardware.
  • Provide systems engineering & integration for hardware and software development for missile system power and C2 capability.
  • Review and define system requirements and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages.
  • Interface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system design.
  • Develop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within DoD and the Federal Government.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 12 months if needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of directly traceable experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition program office or OEM.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.
  • Experience in kill-chain management or equivalent communications management architectures.
  • Experience in in-the-loop encryption/decryption involving engagement commands.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of systems engineering and requirements analysis.
  • Successful missile system fire direction and power systems development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with System Requirements Design Reviews.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Successful technical missile system fire direction and power systems development experience with Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS).
  • Experience with fielded DoD internet terminal systems (Starlink, SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP), T2C2).
  • Knowledge of system interface requirements and requirements management as well as techniques to drive system behaviors.
  • Experience preparing briefings and documentation.
  • Familiar with conducting reviews of entrance and exit criteria.
