About the position

The Command & Control Systems Operations Research Analyst will provide onsite support to the Headquarters Air Combat Command at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. This role involves analyzing and developing airborne command and control (C2) capabilities, addressing capability gaps, and supporting systems integration. The analyst will assist in creating investment strategies and technical reports, while ensuring that C2 systems meet the requirements of various military and coalition operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of Airborne C2 capabilities and capability gaps.
  • Assist in achieving interoperable, affordable, responsive, and sustainable C2 systems.
  • Develop C2 investment strategies and provide technical assistance for airborne C2 systems integration planning.
  • Generate operational requirements for acquisition and integration of new or modified airborne C2 capabilities.
  • Analyze the effects of proposed requirements on C2 networks and their impact on warfighter capabilities.
  • Document alignment to Joint and Air Force doctrine.
  • Provide assistance to platform programs in defining TDL requirements and planning.
  • Integrate new capabilities on Air Force platforms and support building POM submissions.
  • Participate in community discussions regarding TDL needs and emerging concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, management or related technical discipline.
  • Top Secret Clearance, Sensitive Compartmental Information, Special Access Program - eligible.
  • Experience in operations in Airborne or Ground Theater Air Control Systems.
  • Operational experience in Air Operations Center, Air Support Operations Center, Marine Operations Center, Tactical Air Command Center, Naval Tactical Air Command Center, or Tactical Air Operations Center.
  • Specialized experience with TDL systems, gateways, and networks.
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating operational capabilities and limitations of technical solutions for TDL systems.
  • Experience at higher headquarters (e.g., MAJCOM, NAF, HAF or equivalent).
  • Experience in analyzing, developing, and evaluating directives, policies, and procedures associated with TDL Systems modernization and sustainment.
