About the position

The Leasing Associate is responsible for driving a high volume of retail leasing deals on the east coast of Florida. This role focuses on client development, tenant acquisition, and successful lease negotiations across a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities

• Consistently generate leasing deals from prospecting to closing, ensuring all aspects of the leasing process are handled effectively
• Engage in client development activities such as cold calling, attending networking events, and conducting market research to identify new tenant opportunities
• Develop strategic tenant plans and leasing assumptions for each assigned property in the portfolio
• Negotiate leases with national, regional, and local tenants, ensuring favorable outcomes for the client
• Represent the client's portfolio in all leasing-related activities, including marketing, lease negotiation, and contract execution
• Conduct regular site visits, due diligence, and financial analysis to inform leasing strategies
• Present leasing and marketing updates to senior management, addressing key issues and opportunities for assigned properties

Requirements

• Active Florida Real Estate Salesperson or Broker License
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial leasing, preferably with grocery-anchored retail properties
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams
• Ability to professionally engage with all levels of management, staff, and clients, both internally and externally
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to manage and execute projects independently
