About the position

The Commercial & Sales Professional Development Program (PDP) at BASF is designed for highly motivated university students who are eager to enhance their professional skills through diverse learning experiences. This two-year rotational program offers participants the opportunity to engage in real-world assignments across various functions, including Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Procurement, and Marketing. Participants will be required to relocate for multiple eight-month assignments at different locations throughout the United States, including states such as New Jersey, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana. This mobility is crucial as it allows participants to immerse themselves in different aspects of the business, fostering personal and professional growth while developing a wide range of valuable skills. Throughout the program, participants will have the chance to assess their capabilities and interests while gaining exposure to BASF's culture and decision-makers. The program not only aims to build technical expertise but also emphasizes networking opportunities with upper management, which can significantly enhance career prospects. Upon completion of the program, participants will have the opportunity to join BASF's Talent Pipeline, opening doors to various roles within the Commercial & Sales disciplines, such as Operations, Technical Sales, Marketing, and Account Management. Responsibilities

  • Participate in a two-year rotational program with assignments in Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Procurement, and Marketing.
  • Engage in real-world assignments across various domestic locations in the U.S.
  • Develop technical and professional decision-making skills through diverse learning experiences.
  • Network with upper management and other professionals within BASF.
  • Assess personal capabilities, skills, and interests throughout the program.
  • Contribute to specific business needs during each rotational assignment.

Requirements

  • Recent graduates or current seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Management, or a related business major.
  • Graduation date must fall between May 2024 - July 2025.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S. during and after the program.
  • Demonstrated previous leadership experience and academic achievement.
  • Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in the Manufacturing/Chemical industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a related field.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI, SAP, Tableau, and advanced Excel proficiency.
