About the position

The Commercial Associate Account Executive is responsible for managing client insurance programs, primarily focusing on small and less complex accounts. This role involves direct interaction with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective processing of insurance requests and maintaining positive client relationships. The position requires a consultative approach to guide clients, manage deadlines, and oversee accounts receivables while ensuring compliance with documentation guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Client Insurance Program using the agency management system.
  • Act as a point of contact with the Producer and vendors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and analyze situations for decision-making.
  • Manage upcoming deadlines and events, updating the Producer as needed.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivables and Direct Billing related to cancellations.
  • Create Acord applications and COPE spreadsheets for submissions.
  • Prepare Loss Summaries and proposals for renewal terms.
  • Issue Acord Insurance Binders and initiate Premium Finance Requests.
  • Prepare Schedules of Insurance and policies for client delivery.
  • Process Policy Audits and Monthly Reports, resolving accounting discrepancies.
  • Create requests for changes to client coverages and process daily mail and phone requests.
  • Perform quality checks on insurance policies and provide guidance to team members when necessary.
  • Contribute to teamwork by ensuring superior service to all clients and delegating tasks appropriately.

Requirements

  • Licensed Texas P&C Agent
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of Commercial Account Manager experience (internal)
  • 3-5 years of small market Commercial Account Executive experience (external)
  • Completion of CIC required or 5-7 years of Account Manager experience if no designation
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Willingness to work beyond scheduled hours to meet client needs
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and current internet technologies
  • Proactive work style with the ability to learn and analyze commercial lines of insurance
  • Effective client servicing through problem-solving and diplomacy
  • Track record of interacting and partnering with clients for desired outcomes.
