About the position

The Commercial Banker 3 position at Arvest involves managing large secured or asset-based credit loans, working capital lines of credit, and complex treasury opportunities. The role focuses on developing commercial relationships to market Arvest's products and services, ensuring client needs are met while maximizing revenue and cross-selling opportunities. The position requires strong critical thinking, time management, and customer service skills, along with effective communication to maintain relationships with clients and internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large size secured or asset based credit loans, working capital lines of credit, and treasury opportunities that are extensive and complex.
  • Develop commercial relationships to market Arvest's products and services to meet current and future needs of clients.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and open communication with clients to enhance knowledge of business conditions and potential risks.
  • Build internal relationships with other departments to enhance the overall banking relationship.
  • Perform ongoing review of portfolio for appropriate customer alignment based on opportunities and market data.
  • Cultivate prospects through client referrals, networking, social media, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Analyze current financial information on existing loans to determine ongoing credit worthiness of clients.
  • Consult with clients to make sound financial recommendations for qualifying services.
  • Work within underwriting authority to analyze loan prospects.
  • Actively participate in civic and public relations activities to generate new business for the bank.
  • Maintain knowledge and adherence to all federal and state regulations and Arvest Loan Policy and Procedures.
  • Respond to and resolve client complaints and/or questions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent military or related experience required.
  • 7 years previous lending related experience with emphasis in evaluation and/or origination of complex credits required.
  • Completion of Commercial Lending School within first 24 months in position required.
  • Completion of CFB4 training within first 6 months required.
  • Proven ability to build full banking relationships required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Commercial Lending School, Omega Cash Flow analysis courses, or pursuing an advanced degree preferred.
  • Arvest experience preferred.
