About the position

The Commercial Banker role within the Life Sciences, Middle Market Banking team at J.P. Responsibilities

  • Build a brand within the market representing Life Sciences as the leading innovation economy bank.
  • Develop new business by acquiring new relationships and deepening existing ones.
  • Lead internal strategic discussions across all solutions including credit and payments.
  • Seek out diverse founders powering innovation through a referral network.
  • Champion a culture of innovation and manage risks appropriately.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience in Commercial Banking.
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
  • Excellent sales management and business development skills.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility with senior partners.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and creative with sound judgment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree and formal credit training preferred.
  • Strong team player looking to contribute to a national team of Innovation Economy bankers.
