About the position
The Commercial Banker role within the Middle Market Banking team focuses on client acquisition and relationship management. This position requires a customer-centric approach, with an emphasis on providing financial advice and solutions to clients in the Middle Market and Specialized Industries. The ideal candidate will leverage their local market knowledge and connections to grow and retain profitable relationships, while also staying informed about industry trends and innovations.
Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
- Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
- Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
Requirements
- Five plus years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree and formal credit training preferred
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
- Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
