About the position
The Commercial Banker role within the Middle Market Banking team focuses on client acquisition and relationship management. Bankers are responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships in the Middle Market and Specialized Industries. This position requires a deep understanding of various banking solutions and a methodical approach to market activity and prospecting, leveraging local connections and market knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of innovation and a customer-centric mindset
- Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
- Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree and formal credit training preferred
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Strong creative solution, problem-solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
