About the position
As a Commercial Banker on the Technology, Middle Market Banking team at J.P. Morgan, you will focus on growing and retaining profitable relationships within the Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries, specifically in the Technology sector. This role involves client acquisition and maintaining ongoing relationships with innovative companies, while delivering comprehensive banking solutions. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team to represent the firm effectively.
Responsibilities
- Build a brand within the market representing Technology banking as the leading innovation economy bank.
- Develop new business by acquiring new relationships and deepening existing ones.
- Lead internal strategic discussions across all solutions including credit and payments.
- Seek out diverse founders powering innovation through a referral network.
- Champion a culture of innovation and a customer-centric mindset while managing risks appropriately.
- Stay updated with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience in Commercial Banking.
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
- Interest in high growth software, payments, ecommerce, and marketplaces.
- Excellent sales management and business development skills.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility with senior partners.
- Self-directed, proactive, and creative with sound judgment.
