  • Providing monthly/quarterly reporting of business unit financial statements and non-financial metrics to business unit leaders and senior management
  • Planning and forecasting of business unit results and development of both operational and strategic plans
  • Producing meaningful and timely business operating segment reports, assessing performance and directing profitability strategies
  • Leading development and implementation of business unit performance measures
  • Assessing and enhancing processes that drive accountability measurements within the business
  • Providing financial information for decision making support including cost management and revenue enhancement
  • Supporting business competitive intelligence analysis and strategic benchmarking
  • Interfacing with the leadership team in the development and implementation of business unit strategies
  • Reviewing and prioritizing business unit and financial initiatives
  • Providing financial leadership, advice, processes, and tools
  • Creating and distributing sales tracking methodologies for each commercial vertical
  • Ensuring strong accounting and internal controls environment
  • Ensuring compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards
  • Maintaining proficient knowledge of, and demonstrating ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position
  • Ensuring ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meeting all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a BA or BS from an accredited four-year institution
  • An MBA is preferred
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • 10+ years of experience in Financial Services / Banking industry
  • A strong track record of driving business performance
  • Broad and deep functional expertise in business financial decision support, reporting, performance monitoring, and/or accounting
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and translate their needs into actionable, practical initiatives
  • Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Excellent communication (oral/written) and presentation skills
  • Experience managing complex projects with short delivery dates and cross-divisional teams
  • Proven experience in leading major change initiatives in the face of challenging internal and external pressures
  • Experience building, developing, motivating, and mentoring teams
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, processes, and controls
  • Comfortable acting in a regulated environment
