About the position

The Chief of Staff for Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo plays a pivotal role in supporting the CEO of Commercial Banking by managing critical communications, facilitating collaboration among senior leadership, and overseeing high-impact projects. This position is designed for a strategic thinker who can drive operational efficiency and ensure alignment on key business objectives while promoting a culture of accountability and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the LOB CEO, enabling effective performance in the CEO role.
  • Prepare the LOB CEO for critical meetings with stakeholders, including clients, Board, OC, and regulators.
  • Prepare audience-specific content and coordinate overall schedules, meetings, and agendas.
  • Liaise between the LOB CEO, the CB leadership team, and other enterprise functions for effective coordination.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across senior leadership teams to ensure alignment on business objectives.
  • Lead or provide oversight of high-impact projects requiring cross-team coordination.
  • Understand market trends, customer insights, and financial reports to guide decisions.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and triaging situations.
  • Identify and address potential risks and issues before they impact revenue.
  • Promote a team culture of accountability, innovation, and growth within the leadership team.
  • Manage and evolve the CB Early Talent team and the Meeting, Events, Sponsorships, and Membership team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of business management experience leading strategy and teams, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of managing revenue and expenses.
  • Large scale project and program management experience.
  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications.
