About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Leader to manage and develop client relationships within the South-Central Middle Market Division, focusing on business growth for clients with sales revenue up to $100MM. The role involves guiding a team of relationship managers, enhancing client engagement, and driving strategic initiatives to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on intentional Emerging Middle Market business growth with clients that have sales revenue up to $100MM
  • Guide, influence, develop, retain, and grow low to moderately complex client relationships
  • Manage and develop a team of relationship managers in Commercial Banking
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Make decisions regarding resources, objectives, and operations of the relationship management team
  • Collaborate with peers and multiple level managers to resolve client issues
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met
  • Direct team in driving relationship planning activities and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines
  • Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide vision and leadership on client and market needs
  • Supervise and guide team to offer a full suite of solutions to meet clients' needs
  • Support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience
  • 3+ years of management or comparable leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
  • Ability to motivate others to greater performance
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal partners
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Nice-to-haves

  • Commercial credit experience involving commercial or specialty group relationship portfolio credit
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group banking products
  • Ability to train, develop and mentor talent
