About the position

The Commercial/Business Banking Collection - Operations Section Manager at KeyBank is responsible for leading the Collections team to mitigate bank delinquencies and losses. This role focuses on driving strategy and process optimization within the Commercial/Business Banking Collection Operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the corporate client experience. The manager will oversee a team of 10-15 associates, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain strong partnerships with various internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Direct strategy and process execution for the Collections team.
  • Analyze and devise strategies to mitigate bank losses and improve customer experience.
  • Assist with hiring diverse professionals and build a high-performing team.
  • Accountable for achieving productivity, quality, and service level goals.
  • Implement and manage projects or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators and production activities.
  • Build relationships with Line of Business, Risk, Compliance, and Servicing partners.
  • Coach and develop teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce turnover.
  • Communicate company goals, policies, and procedures to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing consumer collection functions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior supervisor/management experience in a financial services institution.
  • Prior experience in collections and/or default processes preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify gaps in processes and build proper controls.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial report writing.
  • Familiarity with risk management in financial services.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 annually.
