About the position

The Commercial CDL Driver at Republic Services is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous waste removal services to customers. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining operational readiness while adhering to company and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service.
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers as per departmental procedures.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
• Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain the vehicle's operational readiness and cleanliness after each trip.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports (VCRs).
• Adhere to required productivity standards for timely customer service.
• Participate in the Company's ReSOP program and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
