About the position

The Driver - CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous waste removal services for customers. This role involves ensuring vehicle compliance with safety standards, adhering to regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports. The position emphasizes customer service, operational efficiency, and safety in waste management.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials and clean up spills as necessary.
• Maintain the vehicle's operational readiness and cleanliness after each trip.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports.
• Adhere to required productivity standards to ensure timely customer service.
• Participate in the Company's ReSOP program and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Good time management skills to ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently.
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and promote safety standards.
