About the position

The Commercial CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting vehicle inspections, and adhering to company, state, and federal regulations while operating the vehicle. The driver will also interact with customers and maintain the operational readiness of the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site.
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of collected material.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them as per departmental procedures.
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards.
• Monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure operational readiness.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for timely customer service.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in the Company's ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
