About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Collections Representative in the Transactions & Processing division of Wholesale Lending Operations. This role is responsible for analyzing and managing delinquent commercial business loans, including account analysis, negotiation, and execution of strategies for long-term resolution. The representative will handle a medium to high-risk portfolio, requiring special handling and research, while collaborating with peers and internal customers to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage delinquent/problem commercial business loans.
  • Support, review, and negotiate a medium to high-risk portfolio of complex delinquent loans.
  • Research credit and account information, handle workout and restructuring of problem loans.
  • Review account equity to determine loss projections.
  • Monitor portfolio for policy compliance and adherence to risk ratings.
  • Assist in the training of entry-level staff and conduct issue-specific training with the manager.
  • Utilize knowledge of company policies and procedures to execute tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Commercial Collections experience or equivalent work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to actively listen and respond appropriately.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications.

  • A BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, or economics
