Gator Personnel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Project/Bid Coordinator for a direct hire permanent position with a reputable commercial construction general contractor in the Knoxville, TN area. This role is ideal for individuals looking for a long-term career opportunity within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bids and coordinating various construction projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $65,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions. As a Commercial Construction Project/Bid Coordinator, you will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and field employees to facilitate communication and ensure that all project requirements are met. Your role will involve permitting, bid management, and assisting project managers with various tasks. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other construction-related software, are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to learn new software quickly. This is an in-office position, with normal working hours from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, and a casual dress code that promotes a friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bids and coordination of construction projects.
  • Assist project managers with various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, project managers, and field employees.
  • Handle permitting processes and documentation related to projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other software for project management and coordination.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office.
  • 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator.
  • 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Project Coordinator.
  • 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Bid Coordinator.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with reading construction plans and take-offs.
  • Familiarity with construction software (helpful but not required).
