About the position

The Project Coordinator at NewEra Construction LLC plays a crucial role in managing various aspects of project administration within the commercial construction sector. This position focuses on ensuring that contracts, change orders, and project documentation are handled efficiently while supporting project managers in scheduling and cost tracking. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage construction contracts and change orders.
  • Track and maintain certificates of insurance for subcontractors and vendors.
  • Organize and maintain accurate project files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Assist project managers in coordinating schedules, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with subcontractors to collect and review submittals.
  • Assist with scheduling and preparing for project meetings, including client meetings, site visits, and internal check-ins.
  • Assist in tracking project costs, purchase orders, and invoices to ensure budget adherence.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and managing inspection schedules.
  • Occasionally visit job sites to ensure project requirements are being met and gather updates for project teams.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the project management team.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in commercial construction project coordination or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, change orders, and COI management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
