About the position

The Commercial Credit Analyst II at Hudson Valley Credit Union is responsible for performing in-depth analyses of complex commercial credit files, ensuring compliance with the organization's policies and procedures. This role involves making recommendations for credit approvals and determining risk ratings, while also mentoring junior staff and maintaining the commercial loan portfolio. The analyst is expected to meet deadlines, respond to inquiries, and contribute to process improvements within the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth commercial credit analyses on complex and time-sensitive files.
• Assign appropriate risk ratings based on financial trends and policy exceptions.
• Assist with loan structure and mentor other credit staff as needed.
• Complete commercial credit analyses within specified deadlines.
• Maintain the Credit Union's commercial loan portfolio through annual reviews and modifications.
• Respond to inquiries from HVCU personnel and members in a timely manner.
• Achieve departmental goals and implement process improvements to enhance member experience.
• Adhere to all Credit Union policies and participate in required training and development.
• Embrace and apply HVCU's guiding principles in all activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct commercial credit analysis experience.
