About the position

The position involves performing various duties related to credit analysis for all assigned credit relationships. The role requires developing information for use by Relationship Managers, Loan Committee, and Board Loan Committee to make informed decisions on new and existing loans. Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing credit information from various sources, analyzing financial statements using spreading software, attending customer calls with Relationship Managers, and preparing credit presentations to document credit files. The position also involves monitoring the maintenance of credit files, ensuring timely completion of annual reviews, and assisting in the development of new procedures to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various duties involved with the credit analysis function on all credit relationships as assigned.
  • Collect and analyze credit information from all available sources, including in-house, other financial institutions, and various agencies.
  • Analyze financial statements and related material using spreading software.
  • Attend and participate in customer calls with Relationship Managers, documenting calls as requested.
  • Develop and prepare credit presentations to document credit files.
  • Monitor the maintenance and updating of credit files.
  • Monitor progress log for all scheduled annual reviews and ensure completion within set time parameters.
  • Review Biweekly Loan Report for accuracy.
  • Assist in developing new procedures and programming to enhance automation and efficiency.
  • Assume management of departmental workflow in the absence of the Chief Credit Officer or Credit Dept. Manager.
  • Review and critique file memos and credit presentations for other Credit Analysts.
  • Assist in training of Credit Analysts.
  • May have supervisory authority over Credit Analyst I.
  • Work directly with other departments to facilitate workflow.
  • Work directly with customers as needed.
  • Complete assigned compliance training in a timely manner and apply training to duties and responsibilities.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration specializing in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years credit analysis experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial statements.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with colleagues.
  • Interpersonal skills to represent QNB positively when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Must be proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
