About the position

The Commercial Credit Analyst at Triumvirate Environmental is responsible for evaluating the financial health and creditworthiness of the company and its stakeholders. This role involves assessing credit risks, monitoring client accounts, and ensuring compliance with credit policies. The analyst will provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making, while fostering a culture of growth and development within the finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing clients using credit reports and financial statements.
  • Continuously monitor client accounts for changes in financial health or credit risk.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on credit risk and payment trends to senior management.
  • Identify and flag potentially risky clients or accounts and mitigate risks as necessary.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients on credit-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of client credit history and decisions.
  • Ensure all credit decisions align with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and customer service teams to address credit issues.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a credit-related role such as credit analysis or collections.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis techniques and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficiency with credit assessment software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify trends in client accounts.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make sound judgments based on data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., credit risk certification) are a plus.
  • Proficiency with Oracle software.
