As the Commercial Data Architecture Lead at argenx, you will play a pivotal role in the expansion of our Business Information Systems (BIS) team, focusing specifically on the Commercial and Medical Affairs functions. This position is rooted in the belief that 'Data is an asset', which is a key guiding principle for both argenx and the BIS team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain a customer-centric data architecture that aligns with this principle and supports the evolving data management needs of our growing organization. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive data architecture strategy that aligns with organizational goals and adheres to industry best practices. You will provide technical leadership in defining data architecture principles, standards, and guidelines, ensuring that our data systems are robust and scalable. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models that prioritize scalability, performance, and data integrity. Collaboration will be key in this position, as you will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate these into effective data models. You will oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of databases and data management systems specifically tailored for life sciences data, ensuring that these systems perform well, are secure, and comply with all relevant regulatory standards. Additionally, you will work in tandem with the Data Governance Lead to develop and maintain a comprehensive data catalog and data lineage for our commercial and medical affairs applications. You will also be responsible for managing core master data management (MDM) domains, including Healthcare Professionals (HCP), Healthcare Organizations (HCO), Patients, and Payors. Your leadership will extend to other parts of the organization as you promote data architecture and MDM best practices. Staying informed about the industry landscape will be essential to ensure that we are deploying best-practice solutions that meet our organizational needs.
