About the position

The Commercial Development Manager will leverage technical knowledge of Sartorius products to enhance sales and customer relationships, primarily focusing on consumables and reagents in the cell and gene therapy sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, achieving sales targets, and utilizing Salesforce CRM for managing customer interactions and sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the organization's products and services to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's market and growth strategy.
  • Achieve/exceed established sales targets.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage and document leads, customer interactions, and sales activities.
  • Analyze CRM data to identify trends and track sales performance.
  • Drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace.
  • Assess and analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
  • Develop and implement account plans and coordinate resources accordingly.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance market perception and develop successful strategies.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in the assigned territory.
  • Regularly assess each customer's potential and plan to realize it in business.
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of field sales experience, preferably in consumables and reagents.
  • Experience in cell and gene therapy sales or key account management is a plus.
  • Hands-on working knowledge and proactive usage of CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
