About the position

The Commercial Development Manager at Sartorius is responsible for leveraging technical knowledge of the company's products to optimize sales and achieve revenue targets, particularly in the cell and gene therapy space. This role involves promoting products and services to key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and managing customer relationships to foster long-term partnerships. The position requires active use of Salesforce CRM for managing leads and customer interactions, as well as collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance market perception and develop effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the organization's products and services to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's market and growth strategy.
  • Achieve/exceed established sales targets.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to manage and document leads, customer interactions, and sales activities.
  • Analyze CRM data to identify trends and track sales performance.
  • Drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace.
  • Assess and analyze customer needs and generate leads.
  • Develop and implement account plans and coordinate resources accordingly.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to create successful strategies for gaining business.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in the assigned territory.
  • Regularly assess each customer's potential and plan to realize it in business.
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of field sales experience.
  • Hands-on working knowledge and proactive usage of CRM.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in consumable and reagent sales is a plus.
  • Experience in cell and gene therapy sales or key account management is a plus.
