About the position

The Commercial Diver position at In-Water Services involves performing underwater diving tasks as part of a full-service commercial diving and fabrication company. The role requires a valid commercial diving diploma and entails responsibilities such as ensuring equipment functionality, understanding dive plans, and effective communication with clients and team members. This position is currently offered as a freelance opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Perform diving tasks as directed by the diving supervisor.
• Verify that personal diving equipment is working correctly and is suitable for the planned dive/project.
• Ensure full understanding of the dive plan and demonstrate competence in carrying out the task at hand.
• Effectively communicate site plans and progress with clients and team members.
• Complete proper documentation of each project including photos, contracts, and change orders.
• Work with heights and confined spaces, involving climbing, hoisting, crawling, and squatting for extended periods.
• Travel for overnight stays on project sites as required.

Requirements

• Commercial Diving School Diploma with preferably 1+ years of diving experience.
• Experience in Welding & Fabrication is a plus.
• Experience in heavy equipment operations is a plus for the construction side of the company.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
