About the position

The Commercial Driver Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in the onboarding and qualification of commercial truck drivers. This full-time position focuses on building relationships with candidates, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing the overall onboarding process to support the operations team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with all candidates.
• Conduct interviews with candidates via phone and in-person for open positions.
• Oversee the commercial truck driver qualification process.
• Manage the onboarding process for newly hired truck drivers.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for commercial drivers.
• Communicate daily candidate status updates to the operations team.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve company goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Preferred experience in recruiting, human resources, or transportation.
• Familiarity with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations, or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient in computer skills and able to use independent judgment and discretion.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with FMCSA CDL Driver Qualification.
