About the position

The Sales Account Manager at Universal Metro, Inc. is responsible for driving sales growth in the commercial flooring sector. This role involves developing relationships with clients in various industries, including hospitality, medical, and education, and working closely with senior leadership to achieve sales targets. The position requires a strong background in flooring sales and installation, with a focus on providing exceptional service and value to customers.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with CEO, President, and Lead Account Manager to achieve annual/quarterly sales budgets, market share, gross margin, and key account growth targets.
• Develop personal sales goals and a business plan to achieve them with a primary focus on targeted market channel specialties.
• Cultivate relationships with industry decision makers within each business segment.
• Drive increased sales performance to achieve commercial flooring sales objectives.
• Consult with potential customers to layout, design, and coordinate flooring selections.
• Work with both General Contractor customers and end users.
• Use commercial flooring product knowledge to determine scope of work, specify product, answer customer's questions, and close the deal.
• Evaluate market channel data growth and call results in monthly meetings with CEO, President, and Lead Account Manager.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in commercial flooring installation and maintenance sales
• Knowledge of various flooring installation such as carpeting, hardwood, laminate, and tile
• Proven track record of success in B2B commercial flooring maintenance or installation solutions
• Commercial experience in an installation environment is a must-have
• Willingness to work in the Greater Los Angeles area
