Overhead Door of Akron is seeking a skilled Commercial Garage Door Technician to join their Commercial Install & Service Team in Akron, OH. This role involves installation, maintenance, and repairs of various doors, dock equipment, and operators for both commercial and residential clients. The position is ideal for individuals with experience in carpentry, welding, or construction who are looking to grow their skills in the door industry. Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs of commercial and residential garage doors and dock equipment.
- Diagnose electrical or mechanical issues related to door operations.
- Work effectively in both team and individual environments.
- Utilize strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail in problem-solving.
- Participate in continued education and training programs.
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance, welding, construction, or manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical and carpentry skills.
- Ability to work well in team and individual settings.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and problem-solve.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a clean driving record.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of experience in welding, construction, or maintenance/mechanical work (Preferred).
- 1 year of experience in garage door installation (Preferred).
