Perfection Group is seeking skilled commercial HVAC Service Technicians to join our Total Facility Solutions team in Lafayette, IN. This position is primarily on-site and requires travel among multiple facilities in the Tippecanoe area. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration units. This includes working with chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps. You will diagnose various service issues, obtain necessary replacement parts, calibrate systems according to manufacturer recommendations, and clearly explain the issues and required corrections to customers. Additionally, you will perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functionality of HVAC systems. Your role will also involve traveling to job sites within the service area and coordinating with dispatch to maintain the schedule and communicate any delays to customers. You will be required to enter call resolutions using company software and applications. Availability to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis is essential to address the emergency needs of our customers. Building and maintaining cordial and collaborative working relationships with both superiors and co-workers is vital, as is participating in company and vendor-provided training opportunities. Compliance with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area and company vehicle, is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose diverse service issues and obtain necessary replacement parts.
  • Calibrate systems to manufacturer recommendations and explain issues and corrections to customers.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing functionality of HVAC systems.
  • Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to maintain schedule and communicate delays to customers.
  • Enter call resolutions using company software and applications.
  • Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis for emergency service needs.

Requirements

  • Universal EPA Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC Certification from an accredited program
  • 3-5 years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC service experience preferred
