About the position

The Commercial HVAC Technician position at Aerotek involves handling installations and servicing of HVAC and HVAC/R systems primarily in commercial settings. The role requires a skilled technician with a minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC experience, who can work independently and travel around the Chicagoland area using a company-provided vehicle. The technician will be responsible for completing HVAC-related duties in a timely manner while working in various weather conditions and potentially during weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Handle installations and service of HVAC and HVAC/R systems in commercial settings.
• Travel around the Chicagoland area to complete HVAC-related duties.
• Perform visual inspections of machinery and equipment.
• Lift and move heavy equipment, with weights ranging from 50 to 100 pounds.
• Work independently and manage time effectively to meet service deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, stretching, and leaning.
• Capability to lift at least 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
