About The Position
EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors to join our team as Commercial Insurance Inspectors. This role requires individuals with excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a strong commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. As a Commercial Insurance Inspector, you will have the flexibility to work from your own home or office while servicing onsite survey and inspection assignments primarily in the Asheville, NC area, as well as other locations within approximately 100 miles of Asheville. In this position, you will be responsible for scheduling on-site surveys and providing detailed risk control reports to our insurance industry clients. These reports are crucial for underwriting commercial insurance policies and may include recommendations to control or correct potential loss-producing conditions associated with those policies. You will need to manage the assignments you accept, successfully secure customer appointments within your local territory, and complete work assignments on time. Our Risk Control Inspectors play a vital role in evaluating businesses to identify hazards and improve safety, thereby mitigating risk for our insurance company clients. The types of businesses surveyed include commercial operations such as retail stores, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction job sites, churches, and schools. Most surveys focus on assessing businesses for Property and General Liability coverage, but we also service other commercial insurance lines, including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.
