About the position

As a Commercial Interior Designer at CultureSpace, you will play a pivotal role in shaping work environments that align with our clients' needs, budgets, and corporate cultures. Based out of our new Houston Showroom, you will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, collaborating closely with our Design team to create functional and aesthetically pleasing office spaces. Your primary responsibilities will include consulting with Project Consultants and potential clients to understand their project requirements, conducting site visits to measure existing spaces, and utilizing design software such as Sketchup, CET, and Auto CAD to produce detailed floor plans and 3D renderings. You will also be responsible for selecting and specifying office furniture, fabrics, and finishes that reflect the client's workplace culture while adhering to their budget constraints. In this role, you will ensure that all project quotes are accurate and updated in a timely manner, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration with the Operations and Purchasing teams to guarantee that each project is executed flawlessly. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you apply applicable discounts and create tailored solutions for client approval. Additionally, you will participate in various office duties as part of a dynamic team that values support and collaboration. Responsibilities

  • Consult with Project Consultants and potential clients to determine their requirements, budget, employee count, and space planning needs.
  • Tour client's new or existing workspace to take measurements for accurate space planning.
  • Use Sketchup, CET, and Auto CAD to create floor plans and 3D renderings.
  • Select and specify office furniture, fabrics, and finishes that reflect the client's workplace culture and budget.
  • Accurately apply applicable discounts and create solutions for client approval.
  • Update quotes and make necessary revisions in a timely manner to ensure project accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing teams to ensure each project is created and ordered correctly.
  • Participate in other office duties as part of the team.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • College Degree in Interior Design preferred
  • Knowledge of Sketchup and Auto CAD preferred
  • Space planning experience a plus
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Basic mathematic skills required
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Professional demeanor
