About the position

The Commercial Lender position at our bank involves building strong relationships with customers to understand their unique financial needs and provide tailored lending solutions. The role requires a combination of office work and off-site customer visits, focusing on soliciting, negotiating, underwriting, and closing commercial loans while ensuring compliance with bank policies.

Responsibilities

  • Service account relationships by providing financial advice and counsel on investments to customers and prospective customers.
  • Call on potential and existing customers to develop new business and cross-sell services.
  • Solicit, negotiate, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of commercial loans.
  • Ensure all lending activities comply with the bank's lending policies.

Requirements

  • Currently involved in commercial lending in the local market.
  • Proven experience in achieving high production goals.
  • Ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products.
  • Familiarity with the loan processing and closing processes.
  • Strong underwriting skills.
