About the position
The Commercial Lending Manager will lead and manage the commercial and business services production team at Oregon Community Credit Union (OCCU). This role focuses on ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and goal achievement while championing exceptional member service and driving production results. The manager will proactively seek opportunities for commercial deposit and loan growth, primarily through external engagements with members, brokers, and other referral sources.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the commercial and business services production team.
- Ensure optimum communication and teamwork within the team.
- Champion exceptional member service while driving for production results.
- Monitor production levels and adherence to service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support ongoing files and credit memo annual reviews.
- Develop goals for each team member that align with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular feedback and development meetings with team members.
- Encourage team members to improve processes and automate where possible.
- Create and manage an annual business plan for business development efforts.
- Originate commercial loans by developing and maintaining referral sources.
Requirements
- A minimum of eight years of experience in commercial lending, member business loans, and/or SBA program lending.
- Proficient in business financial statement analysis.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of credit union and government guarantee agency regulations.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
