About the position
The Commercial Lending Manager at Oregon Community Credit Union (OCCU) is responsible for leading and managing the commercial and business services production team. This role focuses on ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and goal achievement while championing exceptional member service. The manager will drive production results, ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements, and proactively seek opportunities for commercial deposit and loan growth through external engagement with members and referral sources.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the commercial and business services production team.
- Ensure optimum communication and teamwork within the team.
- Champion exceptional member service while driving for production results.
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements.
- Develop goals for each team member that align with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular feedback and development meetings with team members.
- Monitor production levels and adherence to service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support ongoing files and credit memo annual reviews.
- Create and manage an annual business plan for business development efforts.
- Originate commercial loans by developing and maintaining referral sources.
Requirements
- A minimum of eight years of experience in commercial lending, member business loans, and/or SBA program lending.
- Proficient in business financial statement analysis.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of credit union and government guarantee agency regulations.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
