About the position

The Commercial Line Account Executive serves as the primary service contact for clients, focusing on managing renewals and providing day-to-day service in the commercial insurance sector. This role requires a strong customer service orientation and knowledge of commercial insurance coverage, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients and underwriters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new business placements and renewals, procuring information from members to market and place accounts.
  • Proactively review client files and obtain updated information necessary for renewals; prepare applications and market accounts as necessary.
  • Monitor insurers for timely delivery of renewal proposals; prepare and present comparative executive summary to client.
  • Electronically distribute renewal Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to certificate holders; review policies for accuracy once received.
  • Provide day-to-day service fulfillment including answering phones, preparing binders and certificates requested, ordering change endorsements, issuing auto ID cards, and tracking progress as necessary.
  • Complete applications via phone; submit applications to multiple carriers; receive proposals and present comparison to clients.
  • Submit bind orders per client request; issue binders, COIs, and auto ID cards and market program to new members or target member groups when requested.
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials and strategies, design and prepare management reports, and save all correspondence and documents to client's files.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience as a licensed commercial business insurance professional.
  • Must have a Producers License- Commercial P & C Insurance.
  • Excellent skills and proficiency in MS Excel and Word and Agency Management programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and attention to detail skills.
  • Self-management and project management abilities.

Nice-to-haves
